Recently, a high-end IC packaging and testing project invested by ATX Semiconductor (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. was signed and settled in Qiandeng Town, Kunshan City. Upon completion, the facility will boast an annual production capacity of 7.5 billion IC chips.
ATX Group is a global top-ten player in semiconductor packaging and testing, with five manufacturing bases in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Weihai, Suzhou, and Kunshan. It is one of the few high-end service providers in China covering the entire chain of wafer testing, chip packaging, and final testing. Founded in 2001, ATX Semiconductor (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. partners with leading domestic and global semiconductor players as well as top-tier international IC design firms, with downstream end-product clients including Huawei, Xiaomi and Lenovo.
The newly inked project involves a total investment of RMB 800 million, of which approximately RMB 600 million is allocated for fixed assets. The project will be rapidly rolled out via leased factory premises. Adopting domestically leading technologies including SiP (System-in-Package), 3D stacked packaging, and WLP (Wafer-Level Packaging), the facility specializes in high-end packaging and testing covering semi-finished SMT products. Its products will be widely used in fields such as consumer electronics and communication base stations.
The signing of this project represents both a strategic move for ATX to establish a strong presence in the advanced packaging track and another key achievement for Qiandeng Town in its drive to fulfill half-year economic targets. Since the beginning of this year, Qiandeng Town has implemented a slew of measures including full-cycle enterprise services, revitalization of idle land and targeted investment promotion to facilitate the signing, construction and commissioning of multiple high-quality projects.
