To meet the demand of visitors during the summer season, the Suzhou Museum will extend the opening hours to 8:00 p.m. (last admission at 7:00 p.m.) from July 1 to August 30, 2026. The museum will be closed on Mondays. During the extended opening period, more reservations will be made available for family tickets, and special study tours will be organized for student groups. Meanwhile, six special exhibitions will be on display, covering diverse cultures from ancient to modern times and from both China and abroad.
During the extended summer service period, the opening hours of the Suzhou Museum (excluding Prince Zhong’s Residence), the Suzhou Museum West, and the Folk Customs Museum will all stay open longer. No advance reservation is required for entry to the Suzhou Museum West and the Folk Customs Museum; visitors may queue up for admission. Entry to the Suzhou Museum requires a reservation made seven days in advance via official channels. The museum will also launch a special “Study with the Museum” program and offer exclusive benefits for this year’s college entrance examination participants.
