It covers an area of approximately 48,800 square meters, with a total construction area of about 59,500 square meters and an exhibition area of approximately 11,300 square meters. Designed by the world-renowned architectural firm Bjarke Ingles Group (BIG), the museum comprises nine buildings connected by ribbon-like corridors, with multifunctional spaces for exhibition, public education, theater and commerce.
Notably, the museum was recently selected as one of the top 10 projects related to public wellbeing in county-level cities and districts of Suzhou in 2025. It is set to officially open to the public with a grand inaugural exhibition at the end of June this year.
