The No. 1 generating unit of the 2×1,000,000-kilowatt expansion project of the Guoxin Shazhou Power Plant in Jinfeng Town, Zhangjiagang City was put into commercial operation after successfully passing the 168-hour trial operation on Aug. 2. With a total investment of more than 8 billion yuan, this national-level power project is expected to help accelerate the construction of a clean, low-carbon, safe and highly efficient energy system in Jiangsu Province. Using the most advanced coal-fired power generation technologies in China, it can generate 10 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually.
