Suzhou athletes Cao Ningning and Feng Panfeng beat the German pair 3-0 to win the wheelchair table tennis men’s doubles class 8 at the Paris Paralympics on the night of Aug. 31 (Beijing time), adding another gold medal for China. It’s the first gold won by Suzhou athletes at the 17th Paralympic Games held in Paris.
Feng Panfeng and Cao Ningning, who have participated in five and four Paralympics respectively, paired up to compete in the Paralympic Games for the first time. This year, there are 5 Suzhou athletes, including 4 table tennis players and 1 track and field athlete, competing in the global para sports event held in Paris from August 28 to September 8.
