Sheng Lihao, who paired up with Huang Yuting, won the gold medal in the 10m air rifle mixed team event at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris on the morning of July 27 local time, which was the Games’ first gold medal.
In the gold medal match, the Chinese teenage duo of 19-year-old Sheng and 17-year-old Huang outgunned South Korean rivals Keum Ji-hyeon and Park Ha-jun by scoring 16-12 to claim the Games’ first gold medal at the Chateauroux Shooting Centre.
Sheng Lihao, born in Suzhou’s Zhangjiagang in December 2004, began shooting training at the age of 13 and showed a natural aptitude for this sport. He won the silver medal in the men’s 10m air rifle event at the Tokyo Olympic Games when he was 16 years old.
