Shaxi Ancient Town is located in the middle of Taicang City's jurisdiction, bordering on Changshu in the north and Shanghai in the south. It is strategically located in the area crisscrossed by the G204 national highway, the Riverside Highway, the Suzhou-Kunshan-Taincang Expressway and the Wuxi-Taicang Class I Highway. Dating back to over 1300 years ago, the ancient town enjoys fame in the south regions of the Yangtze River with its spotted water mansions, diversified water bridges, unique stone bridges and orderly arranged riverside residences.
