Youngsters give performances to usher in Chinese New Year

   SIP Youth & Children Center (SIPYCC) held its annual gala on Feb 4, marking the upcoming Chinese New Year which, reckoned on the first day of the first month on the Chinese lunar calendar, will fall on Feb 16, 2018. It also offered the youngsters an opportunity to showcase their learning outcomes.


  The event consisted of a variety of performances at SIPYCC headquarters and Cold Spring Harbor Asia DNA Learning Center. The youngsters from different art troupes and clubs, including the multi-award-winning Flower Season Teenagers' Art Troupe, showcased their talents in musical instrument playing, singing, dancing, operas and fashion display in the performances.


  The event was also broadcasted live on Suzhou Daily's all-media platform, attracting nearly 100,000 audiences.


  SIPYCC's Flower Season Chinese Quintessence Art Troupe was inaugurated on the occasion, with the purpose of enhancing youngsters' understanding of the quintessence of Chinese culture and piquing their interest in carrying it forward.
